I'm just your average college student. I am a proud alumnus of East Hollywood High School, and current student at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah (first year). I dig 2d animation, realism, art, digital art, and other stuff like that.
I am currently building up a portfolio to get into calarts. Unfortunately, Calarts is very figure/gesture oriented, so I will be doing a lot of quick, 30 second sketches of models and stuff like that.

Hey folks
I've been drawing from a lot of figure websites. Stuff like lovecastledraw, and pixelovely, and similar websites like that. While I appreciate these websites, I feel that these websites lack certain subjects, genders, etc. In regards to gender, it isn't that hard to realize that on the internet, the VAST majority of figure images and references are women. In fact, I would say that a good 95% of figure images on the net are women. Websites like lovecastle draw have over 15 female models for display, but there is only one male model for the most part. I am bloody sick of anime/manga

Deviantart has a major problem. The VAST majority of art here is manga/anime related. I really have no problem with the fact that people upload anime. Really, I don't. People can upload whatever the hell they want.
The biggest problem I have with anime/manga on this website though is that when I am looking through work, I don't want to browse through pages and pages and pages to find non-anime inspiration. I recentely searched up "Magi" through the deviantart search engine, and I swear, I went through like, 6 pages (no, i'm not exaggerating) before I got something that was non-anime. Incredibly frustrating.

Sorry folks for not responding to your comments/favs. Iv'e been kinda emo lately, so please pardon my emotional state (a side effect of my status as an artist).
So, updates. Dang term is done. Holy crap. I still have to fill out a sketchbook, but I'm going to finish it. Just getting finals done. If anyone wants to know, I will be taking summer classes, but I am only taking 3 classes, so I can make time for stuff. I won't be going in the fall though . . . I will be moving to. . .
